Description
Splicing Fids are essential tools for any sailor, rigger or rope enthusiast who wants clean, strong splices in polyester, braid-on-braid or high-tech marine ropes. Constructed from stainless steel with hooked ends, these fids are built to withstand regular use with ropes from around 3 mm up to 12 mm in diameter.
The stainless steel design offers excellent corrosion resistance, ensuring long service life even in harsh marine environments. The hooked tips make it easy to pull strands of rope through braid, core or cover, simplifying eye splices, soft eyes, terminations and custom rigging work. The size range is ideal for most yacht and dinghy ropes used in sheets, control lines, lashings or mooring setups.
This splicing set is an essential addition to every sailors toolkit.
